This essentially includes the following services, which we offer in close cooperation with the manufacturers of OEM parts, thereby guaranteeing compliance with their extended warranty.

Of course we can assure you that any work will be carried out cleanly and carefully by our friendly technicians on board, and we can guarantee a well-planned preparation by the motivated service managers of our back-up department.

• Engine Refits
  Fassmer Service provides standard services and overhauling for all customary inboard engines (e.g. Yanmar, Bukh-Steyr, Volvo, Nanni, Sabb-Iveco). Our staff have comprehensive experience and always adhere to the special requirements and features of the various different brands when carrying out repairs.
   
• Fiber Glass repairs
  Fassmer started building boats made of GRP in the 1950s.
  
  Our long tradition has enabled us to specialize in fiberglass/carbon fiber repairs, especially for emergency structural lifeboat damages.
  
  Fassmer has a long and deep history with most administrations and is able to manage all fiberglass repairs from project introduction to signing off on all required documents on behalf of clients.
  
  Furthermore, our experience in fiberglass and carbon fiber repairs allows us to repair the slides and pools or any other GRP/carbon fiber products on your ships.
   
• Coating
  In addition to glass fiber repairs, our scope of services also includes the following:
  
  • polishing and coating of faded GRP areas
  • application of new UV-resistant, anti-osmosis polyester resins or gel coatings
  • use of RAL colors (highly abrasion-proof, scratch-resistant, high gloss level, maximum opacity and color fidelity)
   
• Design Services and technical Advice
  Fassmer provides design services and technical advice in terms of optimization, refitting, upgrading and improving the safety of your boats and davits onboard your ships.
  We take on every challenge, as we are committed to creating the best solutions for our customers’ projects. In doing so, we offer:
  
  • feasibility studies
  • basic engineering and class drawings
  • boat design, construction drawings and strength calculations
  • FEM calculations and 3D analyses.
   
• Navigation Installation
  In cooperation with renowned suppliers, we can equip your lifeboats, tender boats and rescue boats with highly efficient navigation and other electronic systems:

A technical pre-inspection on board is the first step towards a detailed offer. This pre-inspection is carried out by one of our experienced Senior Surveyors and one of our Senior Service Engineers. This provides our customers in the cruise ship industry with a well-structured process for each individual maintenance group. 

A team of specialists supports us in this, and ensures that everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Of course we guarantee that our work will be carried out cleanly and carefully.

Our project managers are regularly on site to monitor the construction progress.
